While I primarily use Instagram to share moments in my life, like that burger I’m about to eat or that firework that blew up prematurely, there are some expert photographers who take their grams to the next level.

In 2013, Johnny Guajardo, Joel Peña, Charles Duncan, and I started Deserted Texas. We created a website, a Facebook Page, Instagram and Twitter profiles, and released a documentary on Helena; along with a few hundred photos of alleged ghost towns.

Ever since launching Deserted Texas, I have been followed by other urban explorers who photograph abandoned buildings and empty highways all throughout The Great State of Texas.

Here are a few that caught my attention fast!
