The Age of Lincoln by Orville Vernon Burton

This book offers great insight into the politics and history leading up to the American Civil War. I can now see the aftershocks of the war in today’s political system thanks to what I learned from reading this book. I can’t recommend this book enough!

A Spy’s Guide to Thinking by John Braddock

This is a very quick read. I literally read it while waking up. Before I got out of bed, I had finished the book. It was very good. Braddock has an interesting way of framing valuable lessons within a story.

Landscape Photography: The Four Seasons by Chris Gatcum

I know I’ve taken 100,000 photos already, but I know I can still get better at photography. Particularly at my favorite subject: landscape photography. This book is an easy read that explains what it takes to capture gorgeous photos in all seasons. As I’ve learned, each season presents new challenges and requires a different approach.

Lead Generation for Dummies

Because there’s a difference between cold calling and lead generation. Our world is a noisier place than it used to be. That means your customers will find you and not the other way around.

The New Digital Age: Transforming Nations, Businesses, and Our Lives by Eric Schmidt and Jared Cohen

I’m a techie geek who loves the future! Books like these quickly draw my attention. I’ll likely be quoting statistics from this book for awhile. Did you know there are over 6 billion mobile phone subscribers? If you thought we were the only ones connected, this book is an eye-opener for how connected our world is becoming.
